We understand that a Safe workplace just doesn't happen by chance - like anything else, it takes planning and commitment from all our employees to succeed. Just like our quality and production ethics, our company's attitude towards safety is that it is a Way of Life - not just another duty we have to perform. This is why we have adopted the SAFETY PRODUCTION philosophy, where both Safety and Production have an equal presendence - allowing us to provide our clients with the assurance of a Safe Work Ethics without sacrificing Production.
In addition to the protection of our staff, our employees understand that we must do our best to keep others we work with, and around, safe. This is why, no matter what experience our new employees have, they must attend Safety Orientation and Safety Equipment Instruction classes. In addition to this, we understand that traveling to and from the jobsite is just as hazardous as being on the jobsite (if not more), so Atlantic Roof Corporation has an extensive Defensive Driver Program that each qualified employee must pass (minimum score of a 90%) in order to be able to operate any company vehicle.
Each employee is also provided with a copy of our Safety Policies & Procedures and receives education on Hazardous Materials, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Safe Equipment Operation, and Jobsite Safety. Since the Construction Industry has such a diverse ethnical background Atlantic Roof Corporation felt it was our duty to provide all employees with a Multi-Lingual version of any Safety Documentation/Instructions we provide them. This way all employees can easily understand our commitment to safety.
Our company's Safety Director conducts weekly training sessions in all aspects of roofing, and has introduced a Company-Wide Employee Wellness Program - geared towards keeping our employees safe, on and off the jobsite. Employees must complete Daily Jobsite Meetings, before and after work, which are geared towards Safety Hazards that they may experience that day or have experienced previously on that certain type of workload. This way, we can ensure that Safety is always present in their minds and hearts. To ensure that our employees are operating as safely as possible, our Safety Director (and Superintendents) complete random Safety Inspections of all jobsites - before and during work progression. As an added benefit, Atlantic Roof Corporation has adopted a Safety Incentive Program that coincides with the Safety Inspections completed by our Field Management staff - allowing Positive Reinforcement of Safety Commitment rather than disciplinary actions.
In closing, Atlantic Roof Corporation has a $2 million General Liability Insurance coverage ($4 million Aggregate), and a $5 million project Bonding ability, which enables us to install any type of roofing system with the guarantee of satisfaction that our clientele wants and needs.
